International Teacher Prep Program (ITP)

How the International Teacher Prep Program Works

ITP follows a structured three-stage process designed to help you understand your current international teaching readiness, identify your priorities, and move forward with a clear and practical plan.

01 — ASSESSMENT

Understand where you are and what you need.

Following enrollment, you will complete a detailed professional intake. TCH will review your qualifications, teaching experience, professional credentials, curriculum exposure, international teaching goals, professional profile, previous application experience and other relevant readiness factors.

Where appropriate, TCH will also research relevant teaching markets, professional pathways and development considerations based on your goals.

Your findings and recommendations will be brought together in a personalized International Teaching Action Plan, giving you a clear roadmap for moving forward.

02 — GUIDED IMPLEMENTATION

Understand your roadmap and how to use it.

After receiving your Individual Action Plan, you will have time to review your recommendations before attending a 30-minute one-to-one Guided Implementation Consultation with TCH.

During the consultation, you can ask questions, clarify recommendations, discuss priorities and identify the most appropriate next steps for implementing your plan.

The goal is to ensure that you leave the program understanding not only what you should do, but also how to begin.

03 — COMPLETION

Move forward independently with direction.

Following your Guided Implementation Consultation, your core ITP program is complete.

You will continue implementing your personalized roadmap independently, using the recommendations, strategies and resources provided through the program.

Your relationship with TCH does not have to end at completion. Additional professional support may be available separately if you later require services such as individualized interview preparation, CV support or further consultation for an additional fee.

Program duration: Because each participant's professional background and research needs are different, assessment timelines may vary. TCH prioritizes a thorough and individualized review rather than a one-size-fits-all assessment timeline.

Every educator's international teaching journey is different. Your ITP assessment considers the areas most relevant to your professional background, experience and international teaching goals.

Academic Qualifications

We review your reported academic background and consider how your qualifications may relate to your international teaching goals and target markets.

Teaching Credentials

We consider your reported teaching licences, certifications or professional registrations and identify areas where further pathway research or verification may be needed.

Teaching Experience

We review the depth and relevance of your teaching experience, including subjects taught, grade levels, curriculum responsibilities, leadership, mentoring and other professional experience.

Curriculum & International-School Readiness

We consider your exposure to different curricula, assessment practices, educational technology, inclusive teaching practices and other areas relevant to international-school environments.

CV & Professional Positioning

We assess how effectively your professional experience, qualifications, credentials, achievements and strengths are positioned for international teaching opportunities and recommend areas for improvement.

Target Markets & Professional Pathways

Based on your goals, we consider selected countries or teaching markets and identify relevant professional requirements, pathways or areas requiring further verification.

Job-Search Readiness

We review your current approach to finding and targeting international teaching opportunities, including previous application experiences where applicable, and identify ways to strengthen your strategy.

Interview Preparation Guidance

We consider your previous interview experience, self-reported confidence and professional background to identify areas where additional preparation may strengthen your approach to international-school interviews. 

Professional Development Needs

We identify professional-development areas that may strengthen your readiness or positioning and distinguish, where possible, between development that appears necessary for a particular pathway and development that is simply recommended.

Adaptability & Professional Growth

We consider your experience adapting to professional change, unfamiliar environments, new curricula, technologies or ways of working, together with your willingness to continue developing professionally.

Your assessment is not a pass-or-fail test.

ITP is designed to identify where you currently stand, recognize the strengths you can build upon, identify areas that may need development, and provide practical recommendations for your next steps.

A detailed, individualized roadmap bringing together your assessment findings, priority recommendations and practical next steps based on your professional profile and goals.

Where relevant, guidance on selected teaching markets and professional pathways aligned with your goals, including important requirements or considerations that you should independently verify before taking action.

CV & Professional Positioning Recommendations

Individualized recommendations for strengthening how your qualifications, teaching experience, achievements and professional strengths are presented to international employers.

Professional Development Roadmap

Recommendations for areas of professional development that may strengthen your international teaching readiness, with attention to what may be required for a particular pathway versus what is recommended for professional growth.

International Job-Search Strategy

Practical guidance for identifying and approaching suitable international teaching opportunities, including recommendations for more focused and strategic applications.

Interview-Readiness Guidance

Recommendations to help you understand areas to strengthen as you prepare for international-school recruitment and interviews.

30-Minute Guided Implementation Consultation

A one-to-one consultation after you receive your Action Plan, giving you an opportunity to discuss your findings, ask questions, clarify recommendations and establish your immediate priorities.

Your International Teaching Action Plan brings the different parts of your assessment together in one practical document. It is designed to help you understand where you currently stand, what to prioritize, what actions to take and which areas may require further development or verification.

The roadmap remains yours to use as you continue your international teaching journey after completing ITP.

Program Fee

The International Teacher Prep Program is an individualized professional preparation service. Your program fee covers the assessment, research, personalized recommendations and guided implementation support included in the core ITP program.

Pilot Cohort Fee

US$50

For a limited period, educators accepted into the ITP Pilot Cohort can participate at an introductory program fee of US$50.

The pilot cohort allows Teach Connect Hub to implement and evaluate the ITP experience while providing participants with the complete core program at a reduced introductory rate.

There is no payment required to submit the initial ITP Registration Form.

After your registration is reviewed, applicants for whom ITP appears suitable will receive an invitation to proceed with enrollment. Enrollment is confirmed after the required participant agreement has been completed and the program fee has been received.

Only after enrollment is confirmed will you complete the detailed participant intake and begin the individualized assessment process.

Submitting the registration form does not constitute enrollment or guarantee acceptance into the program.

Additional individualized services requested after or outside the core program, such as complete CV writing, individualized interview preparation, mock interviews or additional consultations, are not included in the program fee and may be offered separately for an additional fee.

No. ITP is a professional preparation and career-readiness program, not a recruitment or job-placement service. TCH helps you assess your readiness, strengthen your professional positioning, understand relevant pathways and develop a strategy for pursuing opportunities independently.

＋ Do I need previous international teaching experience to join ITP?

No. ITP is designed for educators at different stages of their international teaching journey. You may be exploring international teaching for the first time, preparing to begin applying, or already applying and looking for a more focused strategy.

＋ Do I need to know which country I want to teach in before registering?

No. You may already have preferred countries or regions, or you may still be exploring your options. Your goals, professional background and interests will help inform the recommendations provided through your assessment.

＋ How long does the program take?

The assessment period may vary because each participant's professional background, goals and research needs are different. TCH focuses on providing an individualized review rather than using a one-size-fits-all assessment timeline.

Once your Action Plan is ready, you will receive it for review before attending your 30-minute Guided Implementation Consultation. The core ITP program is completed following this consultation.

＋ Will TCH rewrite my CV and cover letter?

The core ITP program includes an assessment of your CV and professional positioning, together with individualized recommendations for improvement. Complete CV rewriting and individualized cover-letter writing are not included in the core program but may be available as separate services.

＋ Does ITP include interview preparation?

ITP includes an assessment of your interview readiness and recommendations for areas you may need to strengthen. Individual mock interviews or personalized preparation for a specific interview are separate services that may be available upon request.

＋ Can TCH tell me whether my qualifications will be accepted in another country?

TCH can research and provide guidance on relevant professional and teaching pathways based on available information. However, TCH does not authenticate qualifications or make official credential-recognition decisions. Participants are responsible for confirming official requirements with the appropriate licensing authority, employer or other relevant body.

＋ Does participating in ITP guarantee that I will get an international teaching job?

No. ITP cannot guarantee interviews, job offers, visas, teaching licences, credential recognition or employment outcomes. The purpose of the program is to help you become better informed, prepared and strategically positioned as you pursue opportunities independently.

＋ What happens after I receive my Individual Action Plan?

You will review your personalized Action Plan and then attend a 30-minute one-to-one Guided Implementation Consultation. During the consultation, you can clarify your recommendations, discuss your priorities and identify your immediate next steps. Following the consultation, your core ITP program is considered complete and you continue implementing your roadmap independently.

＋ Can I contact TCH again after completing the program?

Yes. Participants may remain connected with Teach Connect Hub after completing ITP. Brief clarification questions may be addressed where appropriate. Requests requiring substantial new research, document review, additional consultations, CV services or individualized interview preparation may be offered as separate professional services.

＋ When do I pay the program fee?

There is no payment required to submit the initial registration form. TCH will first review your registration to determine whether ITP appears suitable for your goals and current needs. If you are invited to enroll, you will receive the participant agreement and payment instructions. Enrollment is confirmed after the required agreement and program fee have been received.

＋ What is the current program fee?

The standard ITP program fee is US$65. Educators accepted into the current pilot cohort can participate at the introductory rate of US$50.
